How to Enjoy the App

Find AR Spots

At the Museum(30 spots total)

Point your smartphone at the markers set up inside the Edo-Tokyo Museum. Characters will appear right before your eyes, vividly bringing the lifestyles and landscapes of the Edo, Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras back to life!

In the Streets of Tokyo
(Asakusa, Ryogoku, Ginza, Nihonbashi / 8 spots total)

AR spots are also hidden in four areas of Tokyo: Asakusa, Ryogoku, Ginza, and Nihonbashi. Look around through the app's camera near these areas, and colorful particles will appear. Follow them to the designated spots to start an AR experience where history overlaps with the modern landscape.

Caution

When using this app, please check your surroundings to ensure you do not come into contact with vehicles, bicycles, or pedestrians. Using your smartphone while walking is dangerous, so make sure you stop before using it.

Collect 'Em All! Edohaku Cards

When you experience an AR spot inside the museum or out in the city, an "Edohaku Card" specific to that location is automatically added to your app. It becomes a permanent record of the places you've visited, ready to be looked back on anytime. Try to visit all the spots and complete your very own history collection!
